Guadalhorce Golf Club is an ancient country estate which dates back to the 16th century.  At the beginning of the 19th century, the Larios family converted the Colmenares country house into a stately mansion with English influences. The U-shaped building has a beautiful courtyard in the middle. In 1987, a group of golfers from Malaga created a Society to set up a private golf course. Once the project was under way, this group was joined by a number of Finnish people and together they took the project forward and the private Spanish-Finnish golf course was born.

The course was first designed by the Finnish architect, D. Kosti Kuronen, and was redesigned in 2009 by our Club member, D. Miguel Ángel Jiménez, who uses the Club and facilities to practice and train.

Our course lies in the centre of the fertile plains of Guadalhorce valley and you will not find yourself in the middle of a built up area which may spoil your game.

The family atmosphere is one of our main features and despite being a private club, you can enjoy its facilities on weekdays with a prior reservation.

We hope that you enjoy playing at this private club where you might have the chance of meeting certain of our members who are well known in the golfing world, such as Miguel Ángel Jiménez or Pablo Martin, both players from the European Tour.
